Kathy Keaton is a favorite Texas speaker and "Piccolo" The Therapeutic Clown and Humor Therpaist at San Angelo Community Medical Center in San Angelo, Texas.  She's also the Membership Director of The San Angelo Chamber of Commerce.  When Kathy is not busy speaking to local business about the benefits of chamber membership, "Piccolo" dons her tiny red heart nose and big red clown shoes and can be found not ony at the hospital, but at birthday parties, delivering singing telegrams and doing shows at schools throughout West Texas. 

In 2003 Kathy started the first Hospital Humor Therapy Program in West Texas.  She weekly delivers her caring and compassionate clowning throughout the halls of San Angelo Community Medical Center.  "Piccolo" also makes monthly visits to The Children's Miracle Network Children at Shannon Medical Center and often volunteers time for hospice and other non-profit organiztions

Kathy, her military husband and two sons traveled around the U.S.and Europe for over 22 years, thanks to the U.S. Army, which only adds depth and experience to her humorous twist and views on everyday life.

Winning the humorous speech contest a couple of months after joining Toastmasters International was the catalyst for the humorous speaking she does today. 

Voted  "2005 Woman to Watch" by "The Texas Busines and Professional Women's Club" and "2008 San Angelo's Funniest Grandmother"  (nominated by her lovely grandaughters) Kathy in her character as "Piccolo," continues to raise clowning to a new level while delivering her  "funny over the top" honest look at everyday life through the eyes of humor.  As a speaker and entertainer Kathy delivers a very important positive message in her own unique way and observers walk away refreshed with new tools to help decrease everyday stress and anxiety.

Kathy's associations also include: The Association For Applied and Therapeutic HumorThe Texas Clown Association and Clowns of America International.

Kathy is a contributing co-author in the book "Wake Up and Live the Life You Love - Moments, Published in "The Hospital Clown Newsletter",The Hospital Clinical Newletter as well as "The San Angelo Standard Times"

Kathy currently serves on the board of directors for Hospice of San Angelo and Meals for the Ederly. She has been a local mentor, a Rotarian and active in Toastmasters International and participates annually at Camp Agape Texas, a grief camp for children.
